Visitors/FAQ

Thank you for your interest in visiting us. We are very excited to have you and welcome you with open arms. We provide answers here to some common questions, but feel free to contact us at any time via phone (248.879.6363) or e-mail.

1. What should I wear?

At FYF it is come as you are. You'll see folks in jeans and tennis shoes, shorts and flip-flops, and sometimes even suits, ties, and dresses. So, come as you are most comfortable.

2. What kind of music?

Our music style is contemporary, utilizing amazing talents on electric, acoustic, and bass guitar, keyboards, percussion/drums, flute, vocals, and numberous other instruments designed to enhance your experience and relate to the real world message. Visit our music page for more information.

3. What about my kids?

Children and youth are invited to be part of worship. We also provide friendly, safe childcare for infants and toddlers. We have opportunities for children, ages pre-school to 5th grade, to explore their faith in fun settings during the worship time. Following worship, we have time to enjoy some "lite" refreshments while greeting each other. We offer exciting "Sunday school" classes for learners of all ages at 10:50-11:30.

4. What kind of message will I hear?

With the Word of God - the Bible as our basis, we provide real life stories, examples, interpretive dance, drama, videos, and other contemporary styles of presentation to make it real.

5. Will it cost me anything?

We have a money back guarantee :-). As regular attenders of the service we give as we are able, with no pressure. As a visitor there are no expectations, please do what is most comfortable for you.

6. What time should I be there, and where is "there"?

Worship starts at 9:30am, Sunday morning. We suggest you show up a few minutes early to get settled and find a seat, especially if you have kids that need nursery and/or childcare. For directions to the church, go here. Once you arrive go into the main entrance towards the middle rear of the church, it will be the first one that you encounter coming from the parking lot. Once you have entered through the double doors fyf will be on your right in the Christian Life Center (gym).
